How can exoskeletons assist in the care of patients and other healthcare tasks? This is the question that is being examined as part of a joint, long-term research project between German Bionic and Berlin’s renowned Charité hospital. Berlin-based public broadcaster, RBB, recently took a look over the shoulder of Sara Vaz Contreiraz, a Nursing Ward Supervisor at the Charité, who was testing the suitability of the smart, German Bionic Cray X power suit for her day-to-day work in the geriatric ward: “I’ve tried it and I must say I am extremely impressed,” she said. “This is a really good tool and I hope that we can get a device like this [permanently] for here.”
